  1. Sign In: Open the app and sign in with Apple or Google
  2. Grant Permissions: Allow microphone and local network access when prompted
  3. Find Peers: Both devices will appear in the "Available Peers" list
  4. Connect: Tap a peer to automatically connect
  5. Start Talking: Tap the microphone button, speak, then tap again to finish
  6. See & Hear: Translations appear as text and are spoken aloud on both devices
Important: This app requires two devices to function. You cannot use it alone - it's designed for conversations between two people.

Subscription Plans

Managing Your Subscription

  1. Open Quantiya Translate
  2. Tap your profile icon (top-right on discovery screen, or top-left during conversation)
  3. Tap "Subscription"
  4. View your current plan, usage, and available upgrades/downgrades

Restore Purchases

If you purchased a subscription on another device or after reinstalling:

  1. Go to Profile → Subscription
  2. Scroll down and tap "Restore Purchases"
  3. Your subscription will be restored automatically

Cancel Subscription

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store:

  1. Go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
  2. Select Quantiya Translate
  3. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

Q: Can I use this app alone to practice a language?

A: No, Quantiya Translate requires two devices with the app installed to function. It's designed for real-time conversations between two people.

Q: Do both people need to have the same subscription plan?

A: No, each person uses their own translation quota. The app works regardless of what plan each person has.

Q: How does language detection work?

A: The app automatically detects your language from your iOS device language settings. To change it, go to iOS Settings → General → Language & Region, then sign out and back in to the app.

Q: Can I connect to someone remotely (not nearby)?

A: Currently, Quantiya Translate only supports peer-to-peer connections with nearby devices. Devices connect automatically via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct when they're within range.

Q: Does the app work offline?

A: No, an internet connection is required for translation. However, device discovery works locally via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct, so you can connect to nearby devices even without an active internet connection.

Q: How accurate are the translations?

A: We use OpenAI's GPT-4o for translations, which provides highly accurate, context-aware translations. However, accuracy can vary with complex phrases, slang, or technical terms.

Q: Are my conversations private?

A: Yes. Conversations use peer-to-peer encryption, and messages are not stored on our servers after delivery. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Q: What happens if I downgrade my plan?

A: Downgrades take effect at your next billing cycle, so you keep your current plan's benefits until then. Your new lower limit will apply after renewal.

Q: What happens if I exceed my monthly limit?

A: Translation will be disabled until your quota resets on the 1st of each month, or you can upgrade to a higher tier immediately.
